How can I erase the hard drive on my Mac mini and reinstall Mac OS?

Restart with the Command and R keys held down(or insert a Mac OS X install DVD if it's running 10.6.8 or earlier), use the Disk Utility to erase the internal drive, and install a fresh OS.
