I have another drive with Snow Leopard that up till day or so ago was also working fine with dual display

Now Snow leopard isn't detecting the second display.

I have 3 drives in my Mac Pro, one using Mojave, another with El Cap and another with Snow Leopard, the last 2 for use with legacy programs.

Both Mojave and El Cap recognise and display 2 screens, but Snow Leopard doesn't. A month ago or even less I was able to view 2 screens in Snow Leopard but now I can't. The only thing that may have happened is some form of automatic update that may have occurred when I left the computer on overnight.

Thanks about that, I thought it might be, but just needed it confirmed. Since then I have swapped the drive with one that has an old copy of Snow Leopard and the computer still behaves the same.. This is a pity as I keep the old systems available in order to help someone who hasn't upgraded their computer. If you want to teach something it is easier if you each have a screen to work on.

Besides PRAM there is another test to try, I think it is something like disconnecting the Power cable and holding down the Power On button - can you remind me please.

Thanks
