Messages coming from old Apple ID

I set up my MacBook Pro today and I used my family Apple ID, however I quickly realized to send messages from my own phone on the computer I needed my own Apple ID so I created one and signed out of the old one my computer and phone. However, when I send messages from my computer, it doesn’t come from my phone, but my OLD Apple ID (despite me opting to send imessages by phone and not my new email). How do I fix this?
