My iMessages are using a different Apple ID then what the rest of my MacBook is using. How do I get my messages on my MacBook to the same Apple ID?

My iMessages are using a different Apple ID than what the rest of my MacBook is using. When I first logged onto my computer for the first time today(I just bought my MacBook today) I accidentally logged into my moms Apple ID for my iMessages on my MacBook and then in settings logged into my own Apple ID but my messages are still with my moms Apple ID. How do I fix it to where everything is on my Apple ID?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.15

Go to Messages/Preferences/Accounts and add your account by clicking the plus sign at the bottom left. Then delete your mom's account by selecting it and clicking the minus sign at the bottom left.
