Found Apple Watch

I found an apple watch. After zero success contacting the owner (does anyone know how I can do this?), I do not know what to do with this watch as it is clearly still paired with the previous owner's user ID. If I could find the person who lost the watch, I would return it. Otherwise, is this now just a useless device?

Lost/Found watch Hi there... I’ve found an apple watch and i erased the password in hopes to find the owner, i do not know who it belongs to but i need to get in touch with them to return it. I’ve tried contacting anyone i think may own it but haven’t had any luck finding who it belongs to. it’s registered with an apple id already so someone is looking for it I’m sure, is there any way i can find out who owns this and get it back to them?

Found an Apple watch Hello all, I've found an apple watch on the ground when out for a walk. I've advertised it on all the forums locally to try and find the owner, but no one has come forward. It doesn't appear that the owner has used the FindMyIWatch function either. I can't use the watch because it is paired to someone else's apple ID. Does anyone know what to do with the watch? Apple will never help you reveal the name or location of the owner. However, the owner might use Find My AppleWatch to discover its location.

Short of committing a major crime, breach of privacy is pretty much the worst thing you can do at Apple.

Ask your local police what they can do to help. If the Watch has been stolen in the first place the owner might have reported it.
