Since installing 12.4 on the IP 6 the battery drains rapidly. I have checked all other items that are known to drain the battery, and since this update was just installed I wonder if this is then problem

Go to Settings>Battery>Battery Health. What does it say? If it's lower than 80%, you need a new battery.

Did you recently have the battery replaced? I wouldn't expect an iPhone 6 to have 99% battery capacity otherwise. Where did you get the battery replaced?
I would suggest that you restore the phone to factory state and test it.
Thanks you Idris. Already took these steps. Battery at 99% and all apps cked with negative drainers. I am puzzled to say the least.
