iPhone Approval Nightmare

Has anyone else cracked the code on how to approve your iPhone on another device? This whole two-factor authorization method cannot be turned off apparently which is the only way I have seen people somehow finagle their way around this whole approval nightmare. I'm at a point now where I can't even update my phone without having to approve it, and I do NOT want to have to reset all of my encrypted information. *insert scream here* Help! :(

If you have another Apple device that shares an Apple ID the authentication code will appear on it. Indeed, it will appear on all devices sharing the iCloud ID (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac). It will first display a message asking you to accept the login, then will display the code. If you set up other phones (mobile or landline) you can choose to have the code sent to that phone. Here are details in this Apple support link-->Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication - Apple Support
