Apple Music has kicked me out and when I try to re-sign up it recognizes my e-mail as in use

I have been using apple music for a while, and I have it automatically connected to my credit card. However, that credit card expired recently; thus, my payment for that month was never payed. My apple music has kicked me out. When I try to get back into my account to update my card, the app is forcing me to resign up for a subscription to apple music. However, when I go through the process it recognizes my student email as one that is already in use. (This is annoying as it is my own, old account that it is recognizing as another person). How can I get my apple music back?

Thank you so much! I actually figured this one out on my own. After some intense googling and YouTubing and coming to no avail, I figured out it is easier to go onto your computer to update your credit card information. I actually downloaded the Apple Music app to my computer and then clicked around on the app (I was logged in as myself, but I of course was unable to access music still). By chance I stumbled on a button that read, "There was a problem with your last payment," or something to that extent. Shortly after clicking the button a screen popped up where I could type in my new card information. I am now happily streaming Taylor Swift's new album! :))

I don't think anyone here would be able to help with your situation much. I would try contacting Apple Support directly on apple.com/support or appleid.apple.com to update your payment method.

Also seems unusual that the app would kick you out without letting you sign back in....you should be able to sign in regardless of having a subscription or not.
