Is there an option that can improve my MacBook Pro camera?

Hi, so I brought a MacBook Pro (with the touch bar and touch ID) and one of the reasons I brought it is because of the camera, when I wanted to FaceTime a friend of mine the camera was so low quality, I . kept glitching and my face wasn't clear, when I went to PhotoBooth to see if it was better quality, it wasn't it's really poor! I thought maybe there's an option that can improve it? Can someone help me?

Create a new administrator user, and see if it works any differently. If so, then it's something with the settings in your current user. If not, then its most likely the hardware or OSX software.

So...

  • Screen Glitching: If it is glitching, there might be something running in the Background, so Force Quit any applications that are not responding. (Go To: Apple menu > Select: Force Quit... > Select [Application Name] followed by (Not Responding) > Click: Force Quit button).

  • Poor Quality Camera: If it is incorrectly operating, then resetting your SMC ought to fix this. Also, reset your NVRAM.
