LG 5K display colour temperature

Hi, the colour temperature of my LG 5K display is slightly warmer than my iMac Pro. This is mainly noticeable on solid white and certain shades of grey. I was told that these are the same display panel, so I was hoping for a closer match. But, is this just inevitable variation between two similar displays?

The panel itself may be the same, but the underlying electronics that drive the panel are not.

If you need them to match, and produce a true 5000K balance, then the only way to do that is with a hardware/software solution such as the X-Rite i1 Display Pro. Use the package on both monitors with the same the same settings and the will match.

Any utility where you're trying to calibrate by eye is 100% useless.
