I have an iPhone 6 that is my personal phone and an iPhone Xr that is my work phone.
I want to cancel the Apple ID associated with my old iPhone 6 but don't want to lose my music, pictures, apps, etc. I want to be able to use my Apple music subscription that is associated with the 6 on my Xr.
Is there an easy way to do this?

If the music subscription is for a single account, you will need to cancel the subscription, and then subscribe on your work ID. You will lose associated playlists and other configured data.
If you want to share purchases, you need to let the ID on the 6 remain active. If you delete it, all purchases made using that Apple ID are tied to the ID. Delete the ID and you will need to download them using your new ID. If you let it remain active, you can try setting up Family Sharing between the 2 IDs if you want to be able to share purchases made with the IDs.
Your other data is tied to the ID. Depending on what you plan to do with the 6 will determine if you can save the data.
