I have this cloud. I back up all data too. Secure and private. Why would I back up my info to possibly let’s say, a home desk top computer easily hacked. What good reasoning is this?
You can either back up to itunes on your computer or to icloud.
You don't have to do both How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
Just keep in mind what you sync to icloud isn't part of the icloud or itunes backup.

Unfortunately I dropped. Fortunately, Apple replaced. My info is backed up in cloud. I was happy that see most info had been saved. Pictures etc... Argh...all passwords we’re not and am in the process of resetting. So far no walls. Just whines lol!
If I am backing up my information in the cloud why should I have to back up again on another device?
