Open With > Duplicates in Mojave

Running macOS 10.14.6. Tried solutions in this community but find Mojave not having same code.

command recommended in previous discussions, up to 7 years ago:

/System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/Current/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain system -domain local -domain user

When entered in Terminal, got message "No such file or directory"

When tracked path in Finder, "LaunchServices.Framework" does not exist in /System//Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/.

Is the recommended command still correct? If so where are LaunchServices.framework ... found?

Thank you,

Doug

To rebuild the database paste this entire command line into Terminal:

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

Thank you for replying. I pasted the command you provided into Terminal. After a few moments, got the prompt back. I shut down everything and restarted.

When I realized the volume being used by CarbonCopyCloner was still on the system, I ejected it.

Now Open With operates as expected. A tidy list of apps without duplicates is displayed.

Thank you!

Doug
