internal damage

I have an iphone 8 and dropped it pretty hard recently, there were no cracks on the front or back however I've heard some stories of people dropping their phones and having internal damage show up a couple weeks later. Everything works fine in my phone (camera, vibration, etc.) is there chance that i will have an issue down the line if initially everything is fine?

Dropped my phone Well ... I have an appointment at Genius bar because I dropped my iPhone 11 (I only have two months with it :() I had a screen protector and case and even so the fall broke the screen a lot, the buttons do not work well , to turn on and off, neither the volume buttons and the vibration button. I dropped my iPhone 11 Pro Max from a height of 1.7m. I dropped my iPhone 11 Pro Max from a height of 1.7m. It has a phone case and screen protector. Should I be worried about internal damage (like the battery exploding)? There is no visible external damage.
