Unable to re-enter my password for email account

Do NOT delete your email account or you will not be able to add it back today. Lots of people are talking about this today. For reasons unknown, the settings are not working properly. I am seeing the same thing as you, I have reported it to the hosts here in ASC but I don’t know what that can do about it other than to report it to someone in the appropriate department.

We will just have to wait for Apple to fix it.

I was able to get into the settings to create email accounts for Google, AOL and Yahoo, so I think things are OK now.
