Unable to re-enter my password for email account

I recently changed my password to my gmail account. However, I am unable to re-set it via settings on my iPhone. This is because when I go into settings, select "passwords&accounts", select the email account, and I see there was a "problem accessing your account. Please re-enter the password". However I am unable to do it. I tap on the blue "re-enter password" and it blinks but does nothing.


I am frustrated as I am actually trying to find something in my "Notes" and it disappeared. I do not want to delete my email account and re-install it because I am worried I will lose my notes. Either solution to these issues is welcomed.


(My software is updated)

Do NOT delete your email account or you will not be able to add it back today. Lots of people are talking about this today. For reasons unknown, the settings are not working properly. I am seeing the same thing as you, I have reported it to the hosts here in ASC but I don’t know what that can do about it other than to report it to someone in the appropriate department.


We will just have to wait for Apple to fix it.
