If “picture messaging” is being done using your cellular carrier’s methods (to another cellular telephone), the method used is referred to as “MMS”.


MMS messaging requires:


  • Settings > Messages > MMS Messaging = “On”, and
  • Permission to use MMS from your cellular carrier. This may cost extra.
