Messages in code

Hi,

Recently I received an email in my Mail app that appeared in the following code:

--Apple-Mail=_A92FC949-7657-4C56-B26B-5FA7291A8BF2

X-Apple-Content-Length: 1050

Content-Type: text/plain;

charset=us-ascii

Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

Content-Type: text/plain;

charset=us-ascii

Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

What happened and what does this mean? Does that mean the other person's email has been compromised (and I should let them know) or is there something wrong with my owm Mail?

Thanks for your help!

HI JC,

This looks like three copies of a brief bit of meta data describing the message that was sent.

I would interpret it as a glitch, but not a threat to your system or the system of the person sending the message.

My action, if I knew the sender, would be to send her/him an email requesting (s)he resend the message, as it arrived in an unreadable form. include the time of receipt, and the subject line (title) of the email.

Regards,

Barry
