iPod Touch 2G crashed, rebooted, and now won't respond to touch

So, my iPod Touch 2G suddenly froze up, and then went back to the lock screen. Now it won't respond to touch at all. I want to try restarting it, but my power button doesn't work. Is there a way to restart it without using the power button or screen?

Hello suburbGira.

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

If I'm understanding correctly, your iPod Touch 2nd Generation will not respond, and you cannot restart because the power button does not work. I will be glad to assist.

If the power button is not working, then the next best step would be to have the iPod Touch inspected by an Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Store.
