myQ HomeKit hub shows as "Not Responding" in Home app when I am not on my home Wifi
I have had a LiftMaster Wifi compatible garage door opener for about a year or two and it has worked great.
Over the weekend I decided to install the myQ bridge to make the installation HomeKit compatible. The installation seemed to go easy enough and, while in my garage, I asked Siri to open and close the garage door and it worked.
Then I left the house and noticed that the Garage Door reported "No Response" within the Home app and therefore Siri was not able to open / close the door. But when I returned to my home, the Home app refreshed and I was able to interact with my Garage Door using the Home app again. So it looks like it works correctly / as expected when I am on my home Wifi but when I leave / am on LTE it reports back with "No Response." Same holds true when viewing my Home using the Home app on my MacBook Pro here at work.
If I attempt to interact with my garage door using the myQ app it works as expected away from home - there just does not seem to be any HomeKit connectivity even though it appears everything is setup correctly.
I have several other HomeKit enabled devices that I can see just fine so I know the outside world connection is working fine. I have 4 AppleTVs and 1 HomePod so I should be covered as far as HomeKit hubs are concerned.
I contacted LiftMaster support but they could only troubleshoot their app which as I said is working fine remotely. Seems strange since they also sell a HomeKit product now too but...
Any thoughts on what I might have done wrong?
