Has anyone received a call with caller ID ‘Apple Inc’ stating your iCloud account has been hacked? I got this call and the person asked if I was at my PC so we can try and rectify the problem, luckilyI was not and he just said I should call back.

Has anyone received a call with caller ID ‘Apple Inc’ stating your iCloud account has been hacked? I got this call and the person asked if I was at my PC so we can try and rectify the problem, luckily I was not and he just said I should call back. When I called that same number again I got the automated voice asking what my problem was and eventually got to a representative. The representative told me there was no record of the call or that my account has been breached. The thing is the first call I got that I THINK was phishing they never asked for any email address or personal info, and it didn’t sound suspicious. The call went something like this. I answered and an automated voice said ‘your iCloud account may have been breached press 1 to speak to a representative’ so I did. I got sent through to a real person answering with something like ‘thank you for calling Apple support what can I help you with’ I said that I got this call in regards to my iCloud account that was hacked. The representative did not ask for a phone number or account email he just immediately knew what I was talking about and asked if I logged in from Arizona. I told him no and he then said we’ll sort this out but asked if I’m at my pc. I was not so he said he’ll call me back at a convenient time, I couldn’t give him a time so I just said I’ll call him back. That was the end of the conversation. Called the number back, which was 1 800 APPLE and the representative I spoke with did not have any record of the conversation I had about my hacked account.

Such calls are scams from criminals trying to steal your personal and financial information. Hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.
