How to change the Display Resolution of a iPhone 8 Plus

Trying to connect my iPhone 8 Plus to a display panel in my car that is only compatible with 720p. I have the correct cable that changes the lightning port to an HDMI connector already.

How do I change the display resolution of my phone so that I can do this?

I don't think you can. 8 Plus features a 1080p resolution. You can't scale it down to 720p.
