I just received a recorded phone call, identified only as 'Apple Inc' but with no phone number which said my iCloud account has been breached and not to use it. Is this a legitimate call or another scam?
It's the same number as on their website and the tech confirmed it was a scam - their number has been spoofed. They asked for no personal info or IDs. Thanks for your help.
It's a scam - there's been a rash of this particular one recently. Apple will never call you except if you have set up a call back as a Support case. Never respond to calls of this sort: just hang up.
That was my guess, but I redialed the number and got connected directly to Apple. Waiting for help now. Thanks
Just be careful - be really sure you are actually talking to Apple. Redialled what number? did you get it from Apple's website?
