Ripped CDs gone after latest iTunes update

I went looking at my iTunes library and noticed the many CD’s I ripped out of my library that are no longer there. My entire library is gone up to the ones I ripped after my last iTunes update.

Mac Pro (Early 2009)

OS X 10.11.6

2 x 3.32 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon

32 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC

Can someone recommend an alternate app in lieu of iTunes?
