Promethean board by-pass, adding wifi to my projector and my iPad
The last time this question similar to this was asked was in 2012. I am hoping there is more information now.
I just started teaching math at a new school. We have promethean boards which require cables to be hooked up to either my laptop or my iPad. I NEED to be able to circulate. In my former school, we were lucky enough to have Apple TV and it was great. I used an iPad whiteboard type app which let me import my slides, videos etc AND I could write on the slides or have a clean slate to write on and display. It worked like a promethean board but better. I would LOVE to by-pass the promethean board altogether and go back to just projecting my iPad. Since the promethean board requires a cable hook-up.
I would like to connect my projector to a pocket wifi router or to an Apple TV if my district will allow it.
Does anyone know if it is possible? This might be one of those things where if it does not affect anything or anyone else, I can do it on my own, for my classroom with no one the wiser.
