I'm looking for a large (32" or larger) computer monitor to purchase with a Mac Mini that has high resolution (5K preferably) and good performance. The computer will be used for work (basic functions and some data analyses using SPSS or R.
LG makes a 34-inch (5120x2160) with ThunderBolt 3 input. The actual make and model shouldn’t matter, just make sure it has direct TB3/USB-C input ports since HDMI on a new Mac mini won’t go above 4096-by-2160.

I've been recommending Dell and LG displays for a couple years now. Dell sometimes has awesome sales on its ultrasharp displays which is why my wife snagged hers. I chose a 4K LG just a few weeks ago to replace the older and smaller LG display I'd been using for several years. Warning about LG displays though - they tend to cheap out on the stand.
Yeah, the LG I mentioned (model 34WK95U-W) is $1499.99 direct from LG. But it is only $999 on Amazon, $949 on BHPhoto so there are much better prices then LG's retail price to be had. Definitely need to shop around when looking for 4K and 5K monitors.

I got a widescreen 32" LG monitor connected to my Mac mini, using a HDMI > Display Port adapter and its a love affair. 4 and 5K is overrated if you ask me.
