Macbook pro external display resolution issue

Hi,

I am using my macbook pro (2019, 13inch) model with my external screen (LG 22ES). Because my MBP doesn't have dedicated HDMI, I am using apple's USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter (https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MUF82AM/A/usb-c-digital-av-multiport-adapter) and using belkin's HDMI to HDMI cable

My problem is, my LG external screen 1920x1080 resolution screen. However my macbook is unable to recognise that resolution. It is stuck with 1080p or some other bunch of resolutions (which come out when I use option key to scale the resolution)

Somebody in stack over flow mentioned that, Apple's dongle won't support 1920x1080 resolution. Is that true?

I tried SwitchResX4 and other tools to adjust my screen resolution but so far unsuccessful.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Regards,

Aravind
