We have 4 iPhones on our account all with different Apple ids. How to unlock one that passcode is forgotten

Ipad reset without being logged in? I recently reset my son's iPad so that I can make him a child account. However I didn't realize that in order to use Family Share I would need an alternate apple device. So l logged my son out of the device to log my iCloud account in so I can change family share, but forgot the new passcode I made. Now there's nobody logged into it will I still be able to reset it?
