That is correct, because you don't have a SIM you have No Service. And you won't be able to update that iPhone without a SIM.

Did you try a different SIM? If that doesn't work you will need to get the phone serviced.
thanks for advice. now i have inserted my SIM but still it shows no service because my can’t detect either there is a sim or not. always it shows NO Service .
How could i get rid out of this problem?
