Apple watch pairing

I just bought a used Apple watch and tried connecting it to my phone. It connected via Bluetooth but is stuck on this screen. It says to continue on phone but when I open the app is just says "good afternoon please wait". I don't know what to do since I can't resume my setup

I would suggest you reset your watch. Press the crown and side button in untill the Apple logo appears. Then try again and pair it.
