Find my iPhone app

Why doesn’t my refresh button work on my find my iPhone app? It hasn’t been working for the last two weeks. It takes about two minutes before I can actually refresh. Can I delete this app?

That isn't one of the apps that can be removed.

Apps - Remove built-in Apple apps from the Home screen on your iOS device or Apple Watch

Try double clicking the Home button or swipe up from the bottom of the screen and swipe Find My Phone upwards. Open Find My Phone and test.
