Has anyone found a fix for the Epson DS-510 scanner with the 64-bit upgrade Mac has done?

I bought an Epson DS-510 scanner just 2 years ago, and now I cannot use it because it only has a 32-bit driver? I have tried every download at Epson support web site. Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks!

Macs have been 64bit computers for over 10 years. You are posting on the High Sierra community, so if you stay on High Sierra

you will still be able to use your 32bit apps, all macOS's from Mojave 10.14.6 backwards will stay the same. There is not an event happening soon that will render everyones Mac as incapable of running 32bit apps.

Apple will release macOS Catalina 10.15 in the next few weeks and it is this OS that will no longer support 32bit apps, you are under no obligation to install this, you can keep running High Sierra and using your Epson scanner. If you do want to install Catalina you can also keep High Sierra either on another partition on your internal drive or install it on an external drive, and boot between the two using System Preferences> Startup Disk.

Epson is the only one you can give you information if the are going to update their drivers to 64bit, or see it as an opportunity

to sell their latest products.

So you are running Mojave 10.14.6 but posting in the High Sierra community, your first question was about

32bit drivers, now your question seems to be that your Mac does not see your scanner.

Ok have you downloaded the drivers and software for your scanner for ,acOS Mojave, try this link.

https://www.epson.co.uk/support?productID=12248#product_search

Here is a screenshot of the page it opens,

click the download button, when the download has completed double-click on the .dmg to start the installation.

Open System Preferences> Printers & Scanners, does your scanner appear, if not try resetting the printing system.

If you can't print from your Mac or iOS device - Apple Support

scroll down to Reset the printing system, this includes scanners.
