startup disk almost full

The message startup disk is almost full appears at my Mac Air while at the beginning 2-3GB is available. How to solve this?

Move things from your computer's hard drive to an external drive. Apple recommends that you keep 10GB to 15GB free. Items to move include music, video, and photos because they are all big files.
