migration assistant

When trying to migrate from pc to new mac, I keep getting the message

"Before you can transfer your information, the following programs must be shutdown: Edge Close these programs and run Migration Assistant again. If these programs do not appear to be running, restart your computer and try again."

I've tried on two different PC's, and keep getting the same message. I've restarted multiple times, Run Disk checks and repairs on both of them and have watched about every video I can find with no avail. Everything I find tells me not to use my new Mac before I transfer my old data over. Would love to figure this out so I can use this super expensive computer. Anyone else find a solution to this problem?
