Apple Music stopped working on my iMac perhaps because of the 8/27 iTunes update?

I am using 10.11.6 El Capitan on iMac desktop. I subscribe to Apple Music. Music still works on my iPhone but no longer on my iMac. "For You," "Browse," and "Radio" in iTunes no longer work; "Store" and "Library" do still work in iTunes. It is as if iTunes is not recognizing I'm an Apple Music subscriber anymore.

Was this caused by the 8/27 iTunes update? Or is it finally mandatory that I update to 10.14? Would it function well on my 2011 iMac?

Thanks in advance to anyone who helps.

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, travelswrites.

If I understand your post correctly, you're not able to access your Apple Music subscription on your iMac. I’d like to help.

Follow these steps:

If you don't see your content on all of your devices

Make sure that that you have the latest version of iOS on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch; macOS and iTunes on your computer; or the Apple Music app on your Android device.
Then, on the computer that contains your original music library, make sure that you're signed in to iTunes with the Apple ID that you use with Apple Music and have iCloud Music Library turned on. Then, from the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or the top of the iTunes window, choose File > Library > Update iCloud Music Library.
