I now have a second computer (MacBook) so I can work when away (have an iMac too). I am all set up with my iCloud account and can see my previous App Store purchases, some of which I want to download on to the MacBook, eg. Pixelmator, TextWrangler and a few others. But when I click the download cloud icon all I get is a never ending revolving grey circle.
Am I missing something?

Updating from 10.14 to 10.14.6 seems to have cured the problem. Thanks for all your suggestions.
Is the second Mac running macOS Sierra (10.12) or later? That is the current Pixelmator v3.8.5 installation requirement. Same Apple ID for the operating system installation and what you used to sign into the Mac App Store, or for which you originally purchased Pixelmator? Minor updates for Pixelmator are free, but upgrades (e.g. v2 to v3) have an upgrade charge.
Reboot your Mac if there are no issues in the first paragraph or not.
Connect to your router by cable rather than using WiFi.

Thanks for your reply. Both the iMac and the MacBook are running 10.14 and I am signed in on both with my Apple ID. I can't even download the free apps like LittleIpsum.
Thanks for your reply. Neither anti-virus or firewall installed/running. MacBook is a week old and very little has been installed.
MacBook has no facility for cable connection to router.
If you are running antivirus or a firewall, try disabling them or boot into Safe Mode and try.
