Contacts being added to husband phone

I have my own Apple ID that is being used in iCloud and iTunes Store and my husband has his own that is used in iCloud and iTunes Store and we are part of a family share. When my husband turns on contacts (under settings > name > iCloud > and slide contacts to green) my contacts are added to his phone. If he turns it off they are removed. We are not using the same Apple ID at all in iCloud or iTunes I have signed him out of iCloud and back in to make sure and his device is not listed under my iCloud or backups. How do we stop my contacts from being added to his phone and allow him to backup his contacts via iCloud. We at first also had the issue where the my card details under our contacts was showing the wrong info (my phone has his information under my card and his phone had mine) I had to remove facebook app adn add it back to fix that issue but I cannot stop my contacts from being added to his phone please help

Hi Istndrknes,

It seems you're having some trouble with syncing contacts, and I want to help.

With the description of your issue, it's possible an account other than iCloud is syncing Contacts.

If you go to Settings > Contacts, what do you see listed for the Default Account at the bottom?

If you both have an account you're sharing that is set as your default account to save Contacts to, that would cause the issue you've described.

Change the Default Account to iCloud, and that should keep your Contacts separated.

Good luck!
