Not allowing me to set up family sharing

I just upgraded my icloud storage and want to set up family sharing. When on the "invite family members page" I click "invite family members" I get a notice that "payment method required" however I have a balance on my apple ID account of $22.76 which is more than enough to cover my upgrade. My device is saying that my storage has upgraded to 200 from the free 50

Family Sharing set up I’m trying to set up family sharing for iCloud storage only. I bought the 2TB package and now want to invite family. When I tap “invite family”, I keep getting an error that says I need to add a method of payment to my Apple ID in itunes and App Store settings. Does Family Sharing also block your individual purchases? I went into the i-store beginning of March to sort my payment method - as I was unable to change/update/edit this. Eventually the technician removed me from Family Sharing to see whether that would allow an update - and yes it did. I upgraded to the 200GB i-cloud+ plan with payment going well - until my brother added me last week again to Apple Music Family Sharing... now payment cannot be deducted and the same scenario is happening once again... HOW DOES ONE FIX THIS????

Family Sharing and Apple ID Balance I am a part of a Family Sharing group, of which I am not the family organizer. This means that the purchase method used by the entire family is not my own. I don't want to use this purchase method, I would like to use my Apple ID Balance, but whenever I try to, I get a message saying that I have to confirm a payment method. It then brings me to a screen of the shared purchase method, and if I click the back arrow I can see my Apple ID Balance, but whenever I click my Apple ID Balance and try to use it I get the error of "An unknown error has occurred". From what I have read from Apple Support and other people's questions, I have gotten the impression that once I confirm the family purchase method, I will be allowed to purchase something using my Apple ID Balance. Is this the case? Assuming it is, is there any way to prevent the rest of my family from seeing the purchases I make, whether they be In-App Purchases, Apps, etc?

The Family organizer is required to have a credit card on file as a method of payment in the App Store/iTunes. Check to make sure you have one on file.
