Ive noticed a weird behavior in Logic lately, and Im not sure if its a setting I accidentally checked or a bug. When I add/click to open a plugin, the UI does not open. Sometimes its just a minimized box, sometimes is the GUI-less control page.
Example when I open Pigments this is what I see
When I open linear phase eq this is what I see. I can, of course switch the view, but its annoying to have to do that every time.

Looks like I answered my own question. Its in
Preferences/Display/Mixer(why here I dont get but whatever)
I had inadvertently checked this box. There is a weird quirk that it doesn't change the preference until you open the plugin from the mixer view. If you open it from the track inspector it will still open the controls view. Anyway HTH someone.
