Activation Lock

I bought an auction lot and among the items was an iphone 5s with an activation lock, no body knows the previous owner, how do i get the previous owners email to check if they can unlock it?

Take it back to the auction for a refund - Apple won't remove activation lock from it, nor help you find the person whose account it's locked to.
