Weird menu in iTunes

Hello all,

I have my iTunes library on a Synology NAS. It just got too big to stay on my local hard drive...

I'm using mostly lossless versions of the songs I have.

I noticed this menu on the upper left corner (see attachment)

It seems to be loading a different library (even though I don't have a local library in my music folder. Everything is on my NAS.

Can anyone explain what the difference is ?

If I'm using the "local" one, is the music streamed and the lossless files ignored or something ?

It's a French system.

The options are "my computer" or "Boobytrap" (ma NAS...

Edit : One weird thing is that iTunes doesn't remember my preferences when I set it on "boobytrap", my NAS. (Display preferences etc...

I imagine your NAS is running software that lets it pretend it is a computer running a shared iTunes Library, where it is sharing the content that you've stored on it. When you connect to computer's library it will draw the content from wherever it says it is stored on the Get Info > File tab for a track. Display preferences for remote libraries aren't stored.
