How to deliberately make a duplicate card in contacts in Mojave?

This is a much less frequent problem than the too many duplicates issue, but when you want to have multiple contacts at one address (many contacts at one business, separate entries for a family so everyone's birthday gets a listing on your Calendar, etc, etc)....how can that be done without reentering all of the duplicate address data etc?

Eons ago I thought I remembered an entry ctrl-D to duplicate a card, then you'd change the relevant name/extension/birthday, and Bob's your uncle. That no longer works, and the answered questions from several iterations of MacOS back (copy/paste) does not work (I am only getting a copy/paste of the name on the card, which is usually the thing I want to change!).

Export->reimport? Is that the only way?
