all, got caught in a storm and my phone dropped and cracked resulting in water getting inside, will not turn on? can i have this repaired?

Got caught in a storm yesterday at the top of hellvellyn and phone was dropped with screen cracking and water getting inside. Had to keep the phone in my pocket, was hot to touch but eventually switched off by itself.

Is this repairable? And ideas on what the costs are etc?

The phone will have to be replaced. It is not repairable.

What do you need from it? If everything is backed up, then I'd recommend just going through Apple's repair service and getting a replacement device. If it's not, then it may be "repairable" although such repairs aren't long term. Many shops that do that sort of work will only do it to recover data. And after it's been repaired for data recovery Apple might not accept it for replacement.
