I cannot get my new Apple ID to reflect on my ipad

What do I need to do to get my new Apple ID to reflect on my ipad? My ipad shows my old Apple ID and; unfortunately, I do not remember the password to it.

iPad sign out of old Apple ID problem My old iPad Mini wants me to sign in to my Apple ID, except that it's got my old Apple ID in it. I can't sign out of it without putting the password in which doesn't work cause the old ID is obsolete. (It needs the password to turn off find My device) I can't reset the iPad without doing the same thing, which means I can't sign into my new Apple ID and use the iPad. Any idea how to achieve this or reset the iPad? It doesn't give me the option to put in the new ID, only the password.

Can you switch Apple ID on a iPad? I just need to switch the Apple ID. I know the password to the iPad but not the old Apple ID

In order to sign out of the old ID, you're going to have to reset the ID if you don't know it. Go here:

https://iforgot.apple.com/password/verify/appleid

Why did you change your Apple ID? Are you aware that all apps purchased on the previous ID will need to be purchased again on your new ID as apps are forever tied to the Apple ID they were purchased/downloaded under.
