I can't update Numbers “Numbers” cannot be open during installation.

I can't update Numbers or do anything with this app

I constantly getting the message:

“Numbers” cannot be open during installation.

Click Continue to quit “Numbers” and begin the update. The application will open when the update is complete.

After I click continue, same message popping up over and over again.

It won't let me quit, update nor restart computer
