New user to Logic Pro X. Cannot get a fade-out.
I looked at various helps but none of them were any help only further confused the issue. I am simply trying to fade applause at the end of an audio cut, stereo L & R.

Left-click on your track to select it. Right-click and select Fade Tool. With the Fade Tool, go to the end of your region until you see the cursor change to a vertical line with arrows pointing left and right. Click and drag to the left to create a fade. To edit the curve of the fade, click on the diagonal line and drag left or right.

When you pull down the Logic "mix" menu, do you see the automation "create", "delete", "convert", etc? hi lite the "create track automation from the list. At the bottom of that submenu you should see a "create fade out on main output" command.
Tom, if you follow my directions precisely you should get your fade. If not, please check out this video on several different ways to achieve a fade: automation, the Fade Tool, and the Inspector.

Well, I can't tell if this is a solution. The window is too small for me to read and the audio is inaudible even with my Mac and amp volume all the way up. Also my screen doesn't look like that. Attaching a screen shot.
Under the MIX menu...
Well I did that. I did switch to my wireless mouse so I could left and right click (I use a Logitech Track Ball), but it still did not work. I'm not sure what I'm not doing.

Yes that you tube clip provided the solution. A number of steps that were not at all in evidence in the help menu or in the earlier suggestions. Thanks, Tom
