Macbook Pro black screen after login

Hi,

Can you please help me as I am stuck with this for few days.

The symptoms are, dmfew days back I power shut my macbook while running (continuous press the power button)

After Tha when I powered on again, I get the apple logo, login screen (where I put my password), once I press enter, it loads for a while few seconds then black screen comes Abd stick on that, it never startup and I never see my desktop.

I tried almost, everything, nothing haleped:

SMC reset

Nvram/pram reset

Disk utility.

Recovery mode

I reinstalled my macos which didn't help as well.

Twi,things I noticed:

  • when I load disk utility, I can see my macintosh HD hard disk not mounted, not sure if that, is normal.
  • O.S version is 10.14.6

I have loaded some pics to help.

Have you tried Safe Mode?


If not, can you boot into Single User Mode using Command + S?


If reinstalling macOS did not help, then you may need to use Disk Utility to erase the physical drive as GUID partition and MacOS Extended (Journaled) before reinstalling macOS. Just make sure you have everything backed up first.


What is the exact model of your laptop? You can get this information by clicking the Apple menu and selecting "About this Mac" or by entering your serial number here.
