Magic Trackpad 2 battery dies quickly

My newly purchased Space Grey Magic Trackpad 2 only lasts 10 days before it needs to be recharged. The tech specs say it's suppose to last "for about a month or more before needing a recharge". Am I doing something obviously wrong, or do I have a bum unit? I think I use it an average amount - not for work, just for fun. I don't really play any games (other than some solitaire) that use the trackpad, and I charge it to 100% when it gets low. Ideas anyone? Thanks much!
