Hi
S.M.A.R.T. monitoring has appeared 2x in my Mac top banner? Do I need this/is it useful or should I remove it? Not sure how it got there - I have malwarebytes installed, could this be the culprit?

I did say to check with the developer of the app on how to uninstall it properly, some apps cannot simply be moved to the trash and emptied, they can leave active files. Look in the main Library folder in the LaunchAgents or Launch Daemons folders for files that might be associated with Disk drill, if found move them to the Trash and then empty.
I reinstalled Disk Drill and then used their Uninstall option to remove it cleanly along with the SMART monitoring bits. Its not a case of simply moving the application into the trash...

You have downloaded Disk Drill, twice, a file recovery app. Remove it according to the developers instructions.
Be more aware of what you are downloading.
Oops! Thanks - I recall using DiskDrill once to sort some photos I think - it was recommended as an app to use by Mac Users so I did honestly think I'd done my homework beforehand. I will ask here in future :)

I have deleted Disk Drill - moved to Trash and Emptied Trash - however the 2x SMART icons are still displayed in my top banner? Any ideas? Thanks again
