i went to find my iPhone and it shows a gray dot next to my AirPods but i can't see the last location of it

what do i do if next to my AirPods i see the gray dots and it says offline but it won't show me the last location of the AirPods.

Hello,

A gray dot means your AirPods are off, out of battery, in their case, or out of range.
